Canyon Lake, about 45 minutes north of us, is one of the state’s deepest, clearest lakes, making it a paradise for watersports, which includes skiing, wakeboarding, tubing or just cruising the lake’s 8,230 acres. The lake is set amid the backdrop of the rolling hills of our beloved Texas Hill Country. Largemouth bass and striped bass fishing is good and you can find bass tournaments on the lake from spring through fall. Lake Dunlap, Lake McQueeney and Lake Placid, all about 15 minutes from us, have good largemouth bass and catfish fishing. The Guadalupe River flows through those lakes, making popular for pleasure boating, watersports and cruising as well. For saltwater anglers, we are located less than 3 hours from the Gulf of Mexico. Aransas Pass, Corpus Christi and Rockport are gateways to prime red drum and speckled trout fishing along the coastal waters.
